Can a Facebook Page Have More Than One Admin?
.jpg)
Yes. A Facebook Page can have more than one person with access. Facebook now describes Page permissions as Facebook access, task access, and, in some cases, Community Manager access instead of relying only on the old “admin” label.
Give full control only to people you trust with the Page's settings and access list. If someone only needs to publish, reply, manage ads, or view insights, a more limited level may be enough.

What kinds of Facebook Page access are available?
Meta separates Facebook access from task access. Facebook access lets a person switch into the Page and manage it on Facebook. Task access lets them work through management tools such as Meta Business Suite or Ads Manager, without switching into the Page itself.
| Access type | Where the person can work | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook access with full control | Facebook and other available Page tools | Owner-level administration, settings, and managing other people's access |
| Facebook access with partial control | Can switch into the Page and use the permissions granted | Managing Page content and interactions without full settings control |
| Task access | Management tools such as Meta Business Suite or Ads Manager | Assigned work such as content, messages, ads, or insights |
Meta also documents Community Manager access for moderating live-stream chat. Available labels and options can vary depending on whether the Page is part of a business portfolio.
For the current definitions, see Meta's guide to Facebook Page access.
What can a Page admin with full control do?
Full control includes the ability to manage Page access and settings. A person with full control can add or remove other people, change access, and delete the Page. They can also remove another person with full control, including the person who originally granted their access.
Meta says a Page needs at least one person with Facebook access and full control to remain active. If no one has full control, Meta says the Page will be deactivated and scheduled for deletion. Keep a trusted full-control administrator on the Page.
Partial Facebook access and task access can cover day-to-day work without giving every teammate the same authority as the owner. Review the exact permission options before sending an invitation.
How do you add another person to a Facebook Page?
You must already have full control to grant Facebook access to someone else. Meta's desktop instructions for a Page outside a business portfolio are:
- Switch into the Facebook Page you want to manage.
- Open Settings and privacy, then Settings.
- Choose Page setup, then Page access.
- Next to People with Facebook access, select Add new.
- Find the person's Facebook account by name or the email address associated with it.
- Choose whether to allow full control. Leave it off if the person only needs partial access.
- Select Give access and follow Facebook's confirmation steps.
Meta's Page access instructions show the steps and permission choice. The settings labels can change, so use the current Page access screen if your menu looks different.
How does access work in a business portfolio?
For a Page in a business portfolio, assign access through Meta Business Suite. Meta says someone with full access to the Page or portfolio must grant the access. You can assign full access or partial access, and select task-based permissions for business-tools-only access.
- Open Meta Business Suite and choose Settings.
- Under Profiles, select Pages, then choose the Page.
- Select Assign people and choose the person or people.
- Pick the level of access. For partial access in business tools, select only the tasks they need.
- Review the assignment and confirm it.
The portfolio workflow is different from the Page's own Facebook settings. Check Meta's business portfolio instructions for the current screen names.
How should you choose the right access level?
Give each person the least access needed for their work. Full control is appropriate only when the person needs to manage settings and access, not just help run the Page.
- Content and community work: consider partial Facebook access or task permissions for content and messages.
- Advertising: assign the relevant ads permission through the tools used to manage campaigns.
- Reporting: grant insights access where available rather than full control.
- Owner-level changes: reserve full control for a trusted person who can manage settings and other access.
Meta's help page does not state a universal maximum number of Page admins. Do not assume there is no limit; check the live Page access workflow if Facebook prevents an invitation.
If you are reviewing Page audience metrics, keep Page access separate from audience counts. Our guide explains how Facebook Page likes differ from followers. You can also review the current Facebook Page Likes service details.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Facebook Page have two admins?
Yes. Meta lets people with full control grant access to other people. A Page can have multiple people with access, including more than one person with full control.
Can there be more than one person with full control?
Meta's Page access controls allow a person with full control to grant full control to another person. Only grant it to someone trusted with settings and access management.
Can a Page admin remove another admin?
A person with full control can add or remove Page access, including access held by another person with full control.
What is the difference between full control and task access?
Full control includes Page settings and access management. Task access is limited to assigned work in management tools and does not let the person switch into the Page on Facebook.
Do I need full control to add someone to a Page?
Meta says you need Facebook access with full control to add, edit, or remove Page access.
How many admins can a Facebook Page have?
Meta's current help page does not give a universal maximum. Use the Page access screen to check whether Facebook allows another invitation for your Page.
Bottom line
A Facebook Page can have multiple people with access, but they do not all need full control. Use partial or task access for routine work and reserve full control for people trusted with Page settings and access management.
Before you change audience or promotion plans, review the Page's current access and the distinction between Page likes and followers.
